Bimonthly "Human Resource Management" (HRM)

Guidelines For Contributors


These notes are intended to help you prepare material that will harmonize with other contributions and minimize additional work. A well-prepared text will enable the copy-editor, typesetter, and proofreader do their work efficiently.

1. All materials designated for publishing should be sent by electronic mail to the editorial office redakcja.zzl@ipiss.com.pl or by regular mail on a diskette/CD (in MS Word format).
2. All materials should not exceed the length specified unless by prior agreement with the editor.
3. The article should be preceded by a summary no longer than one-half typewritten page (this does not apply to reviews, discussions, information, case studies, and materials sent in to the "Leaders' Forum" section).
4. Submitted articles should include: the objective of the paper, methods and solutions applied, research and analysis results, summary and conclusions, and references used (this does not apply to reviews, discussions, information, case studies, and materials sent in to the "Leader's Forum" section).
5. Submitted materials should not have been previously published.
6. Materials submitted from abroad should be in the English language (including summary).
7. Please apply footnotes. The first footnote (on the first page of the paper) should provide information about the author/authors, including full name, title (degree, academic title, professional title), and place of work.
8. Leave additional spacing above and below section headings, indented quotes, illustration, and tables.
9. All illustrations and tables should have a maximum width of 12.5 cm [4.9"], which is the width of a B-5 column. The illustration or table titles (descriptions) should be consecutively numbered and placed above the illustration or title without any period at the end. Figures and drawings should have a legend and source after the illustration and source after the table. Please insert large tables at the end of the paper!
10. Number all pages consecutively.
11. Replace parochialisms such as "in this country" or "this year" with the country name or specific year.
12. References in the main text should be placed in square brackets, which should contain the name of the author/authors and the year of publication as well as the page number, if applicable.
References at the end of the article should be in alphabetical order and contain as much of the following information as appropriate in the order as given:
1) Name of author/authors,
2) Year of original publication in parentheses followed by a comma,
3) Title of the article in double quotation marks with a comma inside the quotation mark,
4) Title of book, periodical, journal, thesis in italics followed by a comma, where book titles should be preceded by the author's or editor's name if different from item 1 above,
5) Volume or issue number, followed by a comma,
6) Place of publication, followed by a comma,
7) Publisher, followed by a comma if followed by page numbers or details of subsequent editions, or by a period,
8) Opening and closing page numbers for chapter in edited volumes and journal articles, followed by a period.
13. In submitting papers for publication please provide an address for correspondence and a telephone number as well as a declaration that the paper has never been published.
14. Commissions will be disbursed following receipt by the editorial offices of a properly completed agreement and invoice form.
15. The editor reserves the right to make abbreviations and stylistic adjustments without consulting the author. Major modification will only be made with the consent of the author.
16. Materials that do not follow the above guidelines will neither be directed for in-house review nor publication.
17. The editorial offices do not return unordered materials.
18. The authors of papers will receive one complementary issue of the periodical sent to the address as provided for correspondence.
