The Labor market Situation and Entrepreneurship in Poland Entrepreneurship is a component of society's human capital that through its capacity to undertake the risk of business activity and the introduction of innovation plays a role in economic development. At the same time, entrepreneurship is influenced by the possibility of choice between employment, with its secure remuneration, and going into business, where potential profits are encumbered by the risk of failure. It is for this reason that the objective of presented studies is defining the degree to which the situation on the labor market had an impact on the entrepreneurship rate in Poland over the 1993-2003 period.

Partnership or Conflict? We are living in times of great interest in human potential in organizations. Human resources are universally treated as the primary capital of a company and an important component of an organization's strategic objectives. Much has been written and said about the need to improve HRM, enriching the forms of managing people, and molding an appropriate organizational culture, while stressing the import of these processes not only to engender employee comfort, but also for business efficiency. Paradoxically however, the strong accent placed on these matters is not always reflected in actual care for the social aspects of company operations.

Remuneration in the Wake of Entry into the European Union - Legal Aspects

Many people dreamed of salaries, if not on the German level, than at least on the Spanish or Portuguese level. The hope for increasing the thickness of one's wallet was linked with regulations introduced into the Labor Code relating to a ban on discrimination in remuneration.
