Bimonthly "Human Resource Management" (HRM)

Our Mission
To serve the process of human resource management professionalization and humanization by publishing the newest trends, theoretical achievements, and various types of practical solutions in the field of HRM. To foster the development of new concepts and methods as well as to verify already existing solutions. To become a universally respected forum for the exchange of views and experiences in the field of HRM. To be a reliable promoter of domestic and foreign publications and initiatives, competitions, programs, and conferences relating to the labor market, employment policy, and human resource management.

History of the HRM Bimonthly
The Human Resource Management bimonthly is a scientific publication issued by the Institute of Labor and Social Studies under this title as of the year 2000. Up to the end of 1999, our publication was titled Work Humanization: Human Resource Management—a reference to the more than thirty years of achievements of the Work Humanization bimonthly. From the beginnings of its existence, the Editor–in–Chief of HRM has been Dr. Stanisława Borkowska, an eminent representative of the labor sciences and a recognized authority in the field of human resource management tied with the Institute of Labor and Social Studies as well as the University of ŁódŸ for many years.

Publication Formula
The Human Resource Management bimonthly has a nationwide readership and is highly prized in both the academia and scientific community as well as by practitioners, board members, managers, specialists, consultants, and trainers in the realm of HRM. Our opinion is one of reliability and the maintaining of a high substantive level worthy of a scientific journal. We have been graded Class A by the Committee for Scientific Research. Annually, we publish six issues (including one double issue) as well as one issue where we present the most interesting materials (in English) that appeared in our publication over the preceding year. Usually, we publish four thematic issues and two magazines. We also publish special issues that are always thematic in character.
The formula of the publication fits into seven permanent sections:
Articles is where we present the theoretical thinking of Polish and foreign scientists;
Leaders’ Forum contains case studies from various countries written by managers–practitioners, consultants, and specialists in human resource management in various types of organizations;
Communiques is devoted to communiques on the results of Polish and foreign scientific research;
Portfolio of Methods and Tools is designated for specialist texts;
Reviews and Discussions is where you will find reviews and discussions on national and foreign books, manuals, and articles appearing in periodicals involved in the field of HRM;
From the Publisher’s Showcase is a selection of literature (Polish and international) related to the theme of the issue or (in the case of magazine issues) a selection of news in the realm of management and human resource management;
Chronicle. Information is the place for information and reports about initiatives, competitions, conferences, and seminars linked with the profile of our publication.

Among additional sections making their appearance as needed, there are: The Yellow Pages, where we publish articles by foreign authors in the English language;
Jubilee, Jubilee …where we present the silhouettes of prominent scientists tied with such fields as the labor market, employment policy, and human resource management.

Together we can do more!
