Dariusz Kucz Educating Leaders in Light of Modern Technologies and Value Systems
A new economic paradigm is being established due to the unprecedented speed of technological innovations, which also results in social changes. The importance of the leader is growing as a result of these changes as well as their pace. The role, magnitude, and effectiveness of the leader were discussed relative to the manager and his role and effects.
There are two challenges to be faced at the same time in Poland: transformation of the present and of the future.
The education of leaders is necessary, but the emphasis should be shifted to the development of capabilities able to identify possibilities in the market place, making them meaningful to customers. Numerical, "hard" skills may not match the needs of the "transformation of the future."
