Stanisława Borkowska CSR - A Challenge for Human Resource Management; The Union Approach
The purpose behind this study is the presentation of the essence as well as premises of the development of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with special stress on the European Union’s approach to it, an effort to identify challenges to human resource management as resulting from the implementation of the CSR concept, and an assessment of CSR in Poland in light of questionnaire–based research. These considerations create fertile soil for discussions on the opportunities and threats tied with the development of CSR and the implementation of its assumed objectives.
Kazimierz Doktór Dilemmas of Corporate Social Responsibility
The main dilemma in the realm of “social responsibility” of economic organizations is the choice between a strategy aimed at maximizing profits and one that targets services for the good of stakeholders and the social community in the environment. Researchers are concerned with the typology of the objects of social reactivity and responsibility as well as ethics. What is important is ways of implementing principles of ethics and social responsibility in companies within the framework of human resource management.
